Ingredients to make Besan Barfi
Gram flour – 1 bowl
Sugar – 1 bowl
Desi ghee – 1 bowl
Milk – 4 tbsp
Chopped dry fruits – 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder – 2 tsp
Besan Barfi Recipe
To make flavourful gram flour burfi, first take a big bowl and sift gram flour into it. Now add milk and 2 tbsp desi ghee inside the gram flour and mix it well. Mash the mixture until the lumps of gram flour are completely removed. After this, put the remaining ghee in a pan and heat it on medium flame. When the ghee melts, add gram flour to it and slow down the flame and fry till it turns light pink.
When the color of gram flour changes, turn off the gas and let it cool down. Now put half a cup of water and sugar in a vessel and heat it on the gas. After some time, when the sugar melts, make sugar syrup till two strings come. Now keep the pan of gram flour on the gas again and while pouring the prepared sugar syrup slowly with the help of a spoon, prepare the mixture. When the mixture starts to solidify, turn off the gas.

Now take a tray and apply some ghee on its bottom. After this, put the prepared mixture in the tray and spread it evenly all around. After this leave the mixture to set. After about an hour, spread the chopped dry fruits over the mixture and press it lightly. Now let the barfi set for two more hours, after that cut it into desired shape. Besan Burfi full of taste is ready. It can be stored for a long time in an airtight container.
